PV House
PV House is a commercial office refurbishment undertaken for Pitre Ventures. Located within an established urban setting, the project transforms an existing commercial structure into a contemporary workplace, reimagining its identity while retaining the integrity of the original built form. The intervention focuses on creating an architectural expression that aligns with its surroundings without imposing upon them.

The existing aluminium-section windows are retained, polished, and reused as they are, giving the refurbished building a direct connection to its earlier state. Each retained element is adapted with an interactive quality, allowing the existing fabric to become part of the building’s renewed experience. A restrained grey façade with a subtle purplish tint helps subdue the building’s mass and allows it to blend into the surrounding neighbourhood.

Soft landscaping, anchored by clusters of Areca palms further integrates and softens the built form giving the commercial setting the calm character of a resort within a residential environment.
The building edge is enclosed with semi-reflective glass, allowing passersby to see their own reflections as they move along the street. This creates an immediate point of interaction between the building and its surroundings, turning the boundary into an active part of the experience.
Interior
Internally, the central atrium becomes the focus of the refurbishment. Previously defined by inactive perimeter walls, the volume is strategically opened through a series of structural cut-outs that introduce daylight deep into the building. These interventions visually connect multiple levels, enhance spatial continuity, and amplify the perception of height and openness, transforming the atrium into a brighter and more expansive communal space.
