ORTHO SPINE MEDICAL CLINIC
Ortho Spine and Healthquest Centre, led by established spine specialist Dr. Rajesh Parasnis, is conceived as a reflection of his professional identity. Reflecting the studio's client-centric approach, the clinic translates his commanding presence into an architectural and material language characterised by strength, solidity, and precision.

The project is anchored in five core spatial values that collectively shape its architectural language: Expanse, achieved through open, uncluttered planning that alleviates anxiety; Transparency, enabling visual connectivity while preserving necessary zones of privacy; Convenience, expressed through intuitive wayfinding and the deliberate reduction of physical barriers for patients and staff alike;

A space defining character is achieved through an intentional palette of black limestone, glass, and metal elements establishes a bold architectural character. Blue, associated with care and nursing, is introduced in the lobby alongside white walls and furniture to create a calm environment. Corten steel adds a weathered contrast that subtly references the ageing of the human body and reinforces the importance of care and well-being.
The clinic combines functional planning with a contemporary architectural language, using modern technology as a means of expressing modernism through design. This approach gives the clinic a clear, forward-looking identity while maintaining a refined and cohesive environment.
Floor plan
A central circulation spine organises public, semi-public, and private zones, enabling clear movement for patients and staff. Patient comfort and ergonomics inform the detailing throughout, including furniture designed for longer waiting periods. The trapezoidal geometry of the office is retained as a feature to give the clinic a distinctive and enduring quality.
